How long does a test shoot normally take?

My test shoots last usually for 2-3 hours. Longer If H/MU need to be done. I aim to get quality Images fairly quickly so models can go about their day, attend castings etc.

Why dont you Include hair and makeup?

My philosophy about tests are that they should stay clean and simple. Clients generally want to see the model, and tests are made to highlight the model. Of course there are times we want an elevated test; Im more than happy to facilitate amazing artists for these. For general book building, I find natural clean looks work best. My preference Is a "no makeup" makeup look, essentially the same makeup or lack thereof that they would do for a casting or go see. from that, I can retouch out any blemishes and even skin tone If needed. This makes my job easier, and keeps my retouching process streamlined and fast.

Can we see all the selects?

Absolutely! I can send over the entire shoot In a dropbox link If you want to make specific selects. Bear In mind, my clock on retouching starts from the time you send me the selects back. Otherwise, I make the selects and send you my edits. Im more than happy to do either.

I see you have styling Included. elaborate

I have styling options that fit most body types that I will have the opportunity to test, Including plus sized options. I do ask that models still bring things, but I generally do not need staples to be brought or the model to have to lug around a suitcase full of clothes. Just a couple cool unique pieces helps Immensely In crafting a unique Image. Also, Its helpful If models bring their own underwear/intimates in black and nude at bare minimum

What Is your styling philosophy?

Over the years I have collected a plethora of styling options, shoes Included, for testing purposes. I tend to lean towards classic styling, taking queues from Ralph Lauren, YSL,  Zara, The Gap/Banana Republic amongst others. The goal Is timeless quality Images that wont become dated If they need to live In a model's book for longer than a season. 

What lighting can we expect?

My lighting style Is extremely varied, generally tied to the styling and the type of model Im shooting. I take Inspiration from Zara's lighting (bright yet edgy), Ralph Lauren (classic and warm) and photographers like Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, and Peter Lindbergh. I also really enjoy when you send me references/moodboards so feel free to do so!

What do you need from us?

When we set up a test, Id prefer to know how you see the model you want me to shoot. Are they being presented more for fashion or commercial work? Where are you pushing them towards? Do we need more euro styling or do we want an "All American" feel, etc? I want to produce useful work especially at rate and It matters to me If my shoots add value. Again, feel free to send Inspo Images, moodboards, or any references that will help us get the shots we need.

Do you have any problems shooting men or plus sized models?

Not at all! I enjoy shooting all models and have many examples of work with all kinds. Please dont be afraid to send me whoever you have that needs Imagery.

How will the Images be delivered?

Images will be delivered via dropbox link. The link will be viewable and transferrable In case you need to send to art dept etc. Images are sized to be hi res for a standard 9x12 print to make file sizes not balloon too much.
